Teaching Assistant for Children with Mental Health Needs – BathWould you like a role supporting the mental health of young people? A great platform for future psychologists, therapists or counsellors to gain relevant experience.

• Start ASAP
• £83.33 – £96.15 per day, depending on experience
• Full-time, Monday – Friday 8.30am to 4pm
• Term time only
• Bath – BA2
• Ideal for Psychology/Counselling Graduates

A school that specialises in accommodating children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs are looking for Teaching Assistants to support children with behavioural and mental health issues.

• Working with SEN students aged 4 to 11 to support their wellbeing and personal development.
• Work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at school
• Build frontline, practical experience with young people with significant SEMH needs
• Gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs such as Autism and ADHD.

The right candidate

• Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology OR a good education background (GCSE’s in Maths and English) plus prior experience as a Teaching Assistant for children with mental health issues
• Enthusiastic and passionate about making a different in the lives of children with SEMH
• Resilient and confident to work with challenging behaviour
