We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mental Health & Wellbeing Coordinator to join the Mental Health team at HMP Leeds, a category B male prison located in Leeds city centre. We have a free onsite car park, as well as excellent public transport links.This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of mental health patients, and make a real difference!No 2 days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment.Hours:This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, working 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday.Salary:This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £28,247 – £32,346 per annum – depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checksWhat you’ll be doingAs our new Mental Health & Wellbeing Coordinator, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Work with mental health patients across the wings
• Facilitate 1-1 sessions with mental health patients
• Facilitate mental health groups weekly
• Be a key part of the mental health nursing team – assisting nurses and reporting back on findings and assessments
• Be responsible for annual mental health monitoring, including ECGs and bloods
• Run patient forums, and support healthcare champions on the wings
• Carry out wellbeing assessments
• Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
• Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics

• Have experience within mental health
• Have knowledge of mental health issues
