About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mentor within our Workforce Australia (WFA) team. This position is dedicated to providing ongoing support to customers within the employment services program, ensuring they achieve sustainable employment and positive outcomes. This role involves shaping the future for customers by developing and implementing effective plans to prepare them for employment.
A successful applicant must have a strong understanding of person-centred case management principles, including barrier management, and a clear vision of what it means for customers to be job-ready.
As a Mentor, will create future employment opportunities by identifying areas for development, providing up-skilling, and training, and offering wellbeing and mental health support. Additionally, they will refer customers to appropriate community-based support networks.
Duties Include:
- Establish effective relationships with customers, providing clear career guidance for sustainable employment.
- Motivate and engage customers through various stages of their employment action plan.
- Provide mentoring to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
- Identify customer goals and obstacles to create work/life action plans.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping in ESS and Job Ready for compliance.
- Ensure service delivery meets contractual and organisational policies.
- Support team financial performance through effective management of expenditures.
- Stay informed on role obligations and update knowledge on changing guidelines.
