We are seeking a Proposal Reviewer to support upcoming Third Party Monitoring and MEL Platform proposals expected in January and February. This consultant role will involve evaluating and refining proposal components to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
The anticipated Level of Effort (LOE) is three (3) days, with potential extensions by mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Review proposal content, including technical sections, management and staffing plans, resumes, and executive summaries, and provide detailed feedback to proposal writers.
- Edit and refine sections contributed by other team members for clarity, coherence, and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Crisis, Conflict & Governance, Agriculture & Food Security, Economic Growth, Education, Global Health, and Business Development teams as needed.
- Perform other mutually agreed-upon duties related to proposal development.
Note:
- This position does not authorize or require direct communication with IBTCI clients.
- The consultant will not have decision-making authority regarding the final work product.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 5–7 years of experience as a lead writer for technical proposals, particularly for U.S. Government (USG) procurements; USAID experience preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities to understand and communicate complex topics effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Experience preparing proposals in areas related to information technology is a plus.
- Proven ability to produce clear, compelling, and succinct technical documents.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Drive.
- Fluency in English (oral and written) required; additional language proficiency preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as English, Communications, or a technical discipline required. Master’s degree preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: International travel is not required.
