Job Description Qualifications:

Introduction:

The Production and Industrial Engineering (PI&E) team at Boeing Sheffield, a Boeing Fabrication site that is part of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), are looking to hire a Methods Process Analyst.

The Industrial Engineering (IE) team designs, improves, and implements integrated systems. They use specialized knowledge in math, sciences, and engineering to specify, predict, and evaluate system results. They also handle production scheduling, scenario planning, staffing, and capital forecasts.

The ideal candidate will apply industrial engineering concepts, manufacturing operations knowledge, and business acumen to collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, quality, engineering, and supplier management to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Designs, implements and maintains the production schedule to meet customer requirements
  • Assists in the development of models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data to solve complex problems
  • Assists with design and implementation of processes and tools to improve schedule performance, lower costs, and enhance quality
  • Maintains resource forecast models for equipment, tooling and staffing
  • Develops factory and equipment cell layouts, and carries out workflow analysis
  • Analyze changes to approved plans resulting from unplanned events
  • Assess the impact of changes on cost, schedule, resources, and delivery for new or revised work packages
  • Gather and analyze shop performance metrics
  • Communicates effectively with team members and leadership to share data, plans, and results

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Required qualifications must always be met by the successful candidate.

  • Able to manage and analyze large quantities of data using Excel.
  • Demonstrable experience using advanced Excel functionality such as Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Ability to observe, document, and collect data in a machining production environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with the ability to compile and present reports of a technical nature
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field, or equivalent.
  • Able to create scripts in SQL (Teradata) and/or Python and/or Matlab.
  • Experience using Tableau (or similar) to create and manage worksheets and dashboards.
  • Experience in production planning and scheduling (ideally finite capacity scheduling) using SAP or similar ERP software.
  • Demonstrable experience with lean manufacturing / process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
