The Role

We are recruiting for a talented manager to lead our conservation and land management
programme. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape the future of the award-winning Moors
for the Future Partnership. The role offers you the opportunity of making a real difference to
the South Pennine uplands – and beyond. Our core working area is the South Pennine SAC, but we
have a global reach as far as Tibet and the Falkland Islands.

You will develop new opportunities and innovative ways of providing the vital evidence for the
effectiveness of all strands of our work and will lead the team which collects it. A large part
of your role will be to develop new business, from small grants to major funding applications.

About You

You will have a degree level in a relevant subject, with expertise in the management of upland
ecosystems with a focus on peatland. You must be an excellent team player to be able to work as
part of the management team to deliver an integrated programme on behalf of the Partnership.

You must be a skilled programme manager, with strong leadership and people skills along with a
proactive attitude. Experience of fund raising and grant application along with working in
collaboration with others, is a must.

Flexible Working

You will be based at the Moorland Centre, within the beautiful village of Edale, minutes from
the Pennine Way. Hybrid working is available but if you would like us to consider any other
