Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Development of Project Guidelines:
  • Create comprehensive project guidelines and frameworks, outlining the scope, objectives, and key deliverables of each project.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  1. Implementation of Project Management and Analysis:
  • Implement effective project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct thorough project analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  1. Development of Budget and Expenditure Strategy:
  • Formulate and oversee the implementation of budget and expenditure strategies for all projects.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and resource allocation.
  1. Professional Management of Project Team:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams to ensure high performance and successful project outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  1. Monitoring of Project Matters:
  • Monitor all aspects of project execution, including timelines, resource utilization, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address issues and ensure project success.
  1. Compliance with Quality Standards:
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  1. Act as Overall Program Focal Point:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all program-related matters, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on program progress, challenges, and successes.
  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Contribute to the development of a long-term strategy for program development and growth.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and improvement.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • A bachelor’s / diploma’s degree in psychology, social work, public health, international development, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (at least 3 years) in coordinating humanitarian or development projects.
  • Experience managing teams and working with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations.
  • Familiarity with the humanitarian aid sector, including knowledge of donor requirements, reporting standards, and project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the socio-cultural context, including awareness of the ongoing conflict and its impact on mental health and well-being.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken in Arabic & English, Kurdish is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office package including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
