The mandate of the Human Development Report Office (HDRO) within the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is to produce the UNDP’s flagship Human Development Report (HDR) and to promote human development worldwide. This Report garners worldwide attention from policymakers, academics, and the media. The HDRO team produces the report in several formats targeting different audience segments including printed, digital/pdf and online versions.

The primary audiences for this Report encompass governments and policymakers, academia, researchers, civil society, development practitioners from both the UN system and other organizations, as well as the general public.
