The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section provides life-saving aeromedical and primary healthcare services to rural, regional, and remote communities.

Impact you will have in this role

This a newly created opportunity to work across an established fundraising program that has grown rapidly and experienced significant success within the past 5 years.

Reporting to the Retention and Development Manager, The Mid Value Donor Specialist will play an important role in growing and evolving a flourishing mid-donor program.

This is an opportunity to combine your skillet in individual giving and donor cultivation to implement and test data-driven initiatives and donor stewardship processes that will continue to grow and evolve the mid value program. You will also be a part of contributing to the conception and implementation of a new exciting mid-value product that will be created to engage donors on their continued journey to support impact life-changing health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement direct marketing initiatives, recommending improvements to strengthen the donor journey and donor communication and engagement through multiple touchpoints across the mid value donor portfolio
  • Plan and implement one-to-one personalised multichannel cultivation and stewardship activities to deepen and broaden relationships and encourage a mid-value upgrade from the existing supporter base which results in increased donor retention, value and engagement
  • Collaborate with the team to create a new mid-value product to further engage mid-level donors and their prospects on their continued journey in supporting life-changing health initiatives on a wider scale
  • Analyse donor behaviour, and create processes to test donor responses and engagement touchpoints
  • Brief agency partners, and work in partnership with them to develop donor journeys and communication plans
  • Utilise data insights, propensity modelling and supporter surveys to build relationships with donors and ensure all approaches are donor-centric and build on best practice fundraising research
  • Lead collaboration between teams to identify all points of engagement for mid-level donors, ensuring a streamlined supporter experience and a systematic approach to targeting high value and Gifts in Will prospects to deliver the highest life-time value
  • Contribute to the development of the mid-value donor strategy to grow revenue and improve retention

Skills and Experience

  • Proven success in individual giving, regular giving or direct marketing, along with strengths and passion for donor stewardship and building one-to-one relationships to make an impact on a donor journey
  • Experience coordinating the delivery and execution of highly personalised donor care communications across multiple channels and providing an exceptional supporter experience to supporters
  • Experience testing, recommending and implementing donor communication plans to meet objectives across donor development and growth
  • Strong data analysis skills to analyse donor behaviour and to make recommendations and report on program performance and future strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build trusting and positive working relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to report on progress and outcomes
  • A proven track record in establishing and achieving goals and working as part of a team to make an impact on a fundraising program
  • Commitment and passion for the mission, vision and values of the Royal Flying Doctor Service
