Jean Hailes for Women’s Health has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join our team for an initial seven-month full time contract, with an immediate start in the Melbourne CBD.
The position will be responsible for end-to-end coordination and design of Jean Hailes print collateral and digital assets, aligned to the organisation’s new brand.
We are looking for a creative, flexible all-rounder, with exceptional organisational skills who can support the Senior Design Manager to deliver campaign collateral in a timely manner.

About the Role
The mid-weight Graphic Designer is responsible for end-to-end coordination and design of Jean Hailes print collateral and digital assets.
Duties include designing artwork, planning, obtaining quotes, approving artwork, oversight of printing (where required), filing, and working collaboratively within the Marketing and Communications Department team.
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing stationery, print collateral such as promotional posters or educational materials, reports, presentations and proposals. They will also design digital assets, including web banners, social media tiles and digital ads for small and large-scale consumer-facing campaigns. The position reports directly to Senior Design Manager within the Marketing and
Communications Unit and is supported by contract illustrators and specialist designers.
The Graphic Designer is responsible for:
- Function independently as a graphic designer and support the Senior Design Manager to execute campaign and business-as-usual assets.
- Update existing resources and contribute to planning and development of new resources.
- Contribute valuable insight and design knowledge to the digital improvement project.
- Create design templates to improve workflow efficiency.
- Ensure all design assets adhere to the Jean Hailes branding guidelines.
- Oversee approvals of the Jean Hailes logo or assets by third parties.
- Ensure all design assets are filed, tagged and correctly archived.
- Ensure all design assets meet accessibility requirements or channel specifications.
- Liaise with printers and third parties as required.
- Liaise with internal business owners on a regular basis, ensuring design assets are approved before publication.
- Meet timelines as agreed by the Head of Marketing and Communications.
About You
- A tertiary qualification in Graphic Design/Visual Communication or similar is essential.
- 3+ years’ practical experience as a graphic designer for a large-scale organisation, or broad client base. Experience working with, or creating work for, a NFP, social enterprise, statutory or Government body would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator in a Windows environment. Experience with Premiere Pro is desirable.
- A strong understanding of page layout, formatting and typography.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards is desirable but not essential.
