RES is looking for a Banking Project Administrator with at least 1 year of banking experience for our Mitigation Banking Hub. This position can be located at any of the major RES office locations (see the list below) and will support projects across the country.
Who is RES: We are the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 525 stream miles and 62,000 wetland acres, in addition to conserving and preserving 15,000 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 20,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 280 tons of polluting nutrients. RES ecological solutions enable a balance of economic development and ecological sustainability.
The mission: The Mitigation Banking Hub is a RES team dedicated to the discipline of mitigation banking, working in partnership with our regional teams across the nation to strategically grow and successfully operate our mitigation bank portfolio. I was fortunate to join this group during its inception and have enjoyed helping set its organizational structure and strategy for success. These new positions will be primarily focused on the front end of the bank development process including site selection and the initial stages of the bank approval process and will be solely focused on mitigation banking. They will support our regions where they need additional capacity to advance mitigation banks in existing markets and to expand into new markets. The goal is to continue to grow the RES mitigation banking business line.
What your day-to-day might look like?
50% of the time you will be supporting the development of new mitigation banks. You will be working on a small team that is solely dedicated to the development of new mitigation banks. The other team members will include a Banking Regulatory Specialist, a Banking Land Representative, and a Bank Project Manager. You will report to the Director of Bank Development within the Mitigation Hub. Your primary contribution is to support the other team members from an administrative perspective. This would include ensuring the team’s projects are compliant with internal systems. Because this team will be comprised of a small number of experienced individuals, it will also function in an interdisciplinary manner where team members are encouraged to help each other in whatever capacity is needed to make sure our projects are successful.
50% of your time you will be providing analytical support for our broader portfolio of mitigation banks – You will be helping to ensure consistency with how bank projects are tracked on an individual basis so that consolidated reporting can be achieved to help inform leadership and our external partners on several key areas: financial forecasting, resource (workforce) forecasting, and strategies for growth.
Qualifications
We would love to speak with you if you have many of the following:
- BA/BS
- 1+ years of experience in project management support specific to mitigation bank projects
- Excellent communication and organization skills
