MONGOLIA : INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY-MONGOLIA PROGRAM

If you are thinking of entering the world of communications and climate change an internship at the GGGI could be the ideal start for you. The objective of the internship is to give you first-hand experience of the day-to-day work at GGGI. The Internship Program is a project-oriented learning opportunity to gain experience through assignments based on GGGI’s current operational and administrative needs. GGGI welcomes motivated, open-minded, and self-directed individuals to apply. You will be given an opportunity to work directly with local team, participate in workshops and meetings, and contribute to communications and campaign to raise awareness of climate change and advance sustainable green growth.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

The assignment will include the following but not limited to:

  • Support day-to-day administrative activities of the local office;
  • Support preparation of reports, presentations and prepare communication materials including posters, brochures, and infographics;
  • Support the team to efficiently run GGGI social media accounts (FB, Twitter) and create content including animations, short videos, reels, and posters etc.

 

  • Support the team in preparation of communications with stakeholders and project beneficiaries; planning and organizing events, meetings and workshops, site visits, meeting briefs, by performing written and oral translation when required,
  • Perform any other duties as may be required.
ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for an internship, the candidate must:

  • Fresh undergraduate, graduate or current student studying at Master’s or currently enrolled in the final year of Bachelor’s program.
  • Experience and education in any of the following topics: climate change, environmental management, IT, graphic design, media-communications, sustainable energy.
  • Possess an excellent command of spoken and written English and Mongolian languages.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge and understanding of sustainable development issues
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, designing and active usage of various social media platforms

 

  • Ability to create stories in various formats to communicate the impact and relevance of GGGI work and climate change and green economy issues
  • Proven analytical summary, research paper or report writing skills are advantageous
  • Maturity, initiative, tact and high sense of responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team
  • Creativity, dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
