DRS is looking for an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Expert for INGO. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and evaluating climate change projects implemented in Southeast Asia. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust M&E frameworks for climate change projects in Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment with project objectives and donor requirements.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of project data to track progress, measure impact, and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular field visits to project sites across Southeast Asia to assess the effectiveness of project interventions, gather feedback from stakeholders, and identify best practices and lessons learned.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, partner organizations, and relevant stakeholders to ensure the integration of M&E activities into project planning, implementation, and reporting processes.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity building support to project staff and partners on M&E methodologies, data collection tools, and reporting standards.
- Prepare high-quality M&E reports, presentations, and other deliverables for internal use, donor reporting, and external communication purposes.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in M&E within the context of climate change and environmental conservation, and apply relevant insights to improve project effectiveness.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Southeast Asia.
- Strong background in climate change adaptation and mitigation projects, with demonstrable knowledge of relevant M&E frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience working with INGOs, donor agencies, or international development organizations on environmental projects in Southeast Asia is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques, including experience with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences through written reports, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in environmental science, natural resource management, international development, or a related field.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages commonly spoken in Southeast Asia (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese) is an asset.
