Middlesbrough. Some home working and onsite as required

Salary: £24,795 – £27,505 per annum, pro-rata.

Hours: Minimum 22.5 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term till 31 March 2025, possible extension subject to funding

About the role

The post holder will perform a dual role within the Wansbeck Restoration for Climate Change and
Revitalising our Estuaries Programme (RoE) Project team. The RoE project currently aims to
protect and enhance six of the estuaries in the North East.

We are looking for someone with an interest in the environment and project management,
fieldwork, and recording/surveying. Knowledge of the area, river estuaries or habitat creation
is beneficial. 

The role will carry out field work using established procedures and protocols for monitoring
the interventions installed at project sites, including recording, collation, and evaluation of
the data. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to establish the social impact
of key projects. The role will include remote working, office-based meetings and on site
sessions working alongside the project team and other Groundwork staff.

Essentials

  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating habitat / nature based solutions
  • Experience of using software packages and mapping apps such as ArcGIS and google maps
  • Experience of working effectively with external parties to develop monitoring of NBS
    projects
  • In possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
