- Our Mortgage Telephone Business Development Managers are the face and voice of Metro Bank for the mortgage intermediaries, responsible for delivering AMAZEING service to our customers
- Be a key point of contact for the mortgage broking community, by building relationships while promoting the specialist proposition to grow our mortgage business
- Work as part of a team responsible for our mortgage intermediary panel, as well as working alongside field-based Business Development Managers (BDMs) – with outbound proactive activity (welcome calls, new business queries, understanding business needs and educating mortgage intermediaries, virtual team meetings, etc)
- Proactively develop new intermediary relationships within your defined areas and working alongside your allocated BDMs
- Identify new opportunities whilst developing and maintaining strong business relationships
- Provide an AMAZEING and professional service to Mortgage Intermediaries, ensuring a full understanding of our mortgage proposition and our target market, within our SLAs
- Plan 2-3 weeks ahead, but reacting to changes in the market, in particular rates, new products, and specific business needs as they occur
- Understand the regulatory obligations of the intermediary mortgage channel, the wider mortgage and banking sector
- Work with the wider mortgage telephony team supporting with complex enquiries, training and other requirements as the business needs

- AMAZEING mortgage knowledge and understanding gained in a previous role within a banking or similar financial services organisation
- Extensive mortgage intermediary experienced, ideally gained in a similar telephony role
- FANtastic mortgage product and policy knowledge, including up to date knowledge of compliance and mortgage regulation
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships with external partners and stakeholder
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and the confidence to work independently
- Ideally CeMAP qualified
- Clearly passionate about developing your career within mortgages
