Multi-Sector Needs Assessment Project Officer

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing a multi-sector needs assessment project in Northwest Syria. This role includes planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating project-related activities to ensure the achievement of defined objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Plan and organize all project activities, ensuring timely execution within budget.
Develop and regularly update weekly and monthly work plans.
Ensure adherence to humanitarian and technical standards and principles during project implementation.
Coordination and Partnerships:

Work with local and international stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and information sharing.
Represent the project in relevant meetings and coordination efforts.
Build relationships with local communities and authorities to ensure their cooperation and support for the project.
Needs Assessment:

Prepare detailed reports on assessment findings and provide data-driven recommendations.
Team Management:

Guide and train the project team to ensure high-quality task execution.
Evaluate team performance and provide necessary feedback and guidance.
Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for the team.
Resource Management:

Provide necessary supplies and equipment for field activities.
Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare periodic reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
Ensure accurate and organized documentation of all activities and data.

Required Experience:

Field Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in managing humanitarian or development projects, preferably in a similar context.
Contextual Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Syrian context and local challenges.
Needs Assessment: Proven experience in designing and conducting needs assessments.
Team Management: Experience in managing and directing multi-disciplinary teams.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of data collection and analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel, etc.).
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Management, International Development, Social Sciences, or any related discipline). A Master’s degree is an additional advantage.
Other Requirements:

Proficiency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
Ability to travel to target areas within Syria as per project requirements.
