The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (ALDE Party) is the European political party bringing together parties with common liberal and democratic ideas from more than 40 European countries. Its role is to strengthen the liberal movement throughout Europe, define a common political vision and communicate it effectively to European citizens.

The Brussels-based Secretariat of the ALDE Party supports the activities of the party, organises its meetings, manages its external communication and facilitates European policy development and networking amongst liberal parties.

To support the work of our Communication & Events Unit, we are now seeking a Brussels-based Multimedia Officer.

Main responsibilities:

The Multimedia Officer will be part of the Communication & Events Unit, with the following key responsibilities:

  • Plan, produce and create all graphic and video materials for the party in collaboration with colleagues, including for social media, web, print publications, merchandise and more;
  • Develop and enforce the organisation’s branding across all visual and video output;
  • Manage and oversee all technical aspects of graphic design and video recording for the party, including editing and other relevant post-production tasks;
  • Proactively propose new ideas for the organisation’s digital and print deliverables, taking into account the liberal political context;
  • Help maintain the ALDE Party website with relevant content updates;
  • Lead the organisation’s YouTube and Google Ads presence, including managing content and following platform developments.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in both graphic design and videography;
  • Extensive expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Interest and experience in planning and using audio-visual communication in a political context;
  • Knowledge of digital trends, as well as creativity and innovation;
  • Native-level English and great attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of communications within European institutions/politics and an affinity with liberal values are considered an asset.

The candidate should be available for full-time employment at our Brussels office.

The ALDE Party is a registered European political party and its staff is working in the frame of employee contracts submitted to Belgian Law.
