Job description
- We are looking for over 20 music educators to work in multiple schools across Terms 2 and 3 in the Victorian Government Music In Schools program.
- Metro and regional locations across Victoria available.
- Comparable Victorian learning specialist rates.
- Must be VIT registered.
What is Music in Schools (MiS)?
- A music education program that aims to strengthen whole school planning to deliver quality music teaching and learning and build their capability to implement the Victorian Curriculum F-10: The Arts, Music, including assessment and reporting.
- Targeted to support generalist classroom teachers and nominated specialists with limited or no classroom music experience or qualifications.
- Flexible in-class and online mentoring and coaching, delivered by experienced music educators in terms 2 and 3 over two years. It also includes a series of workshops for school leaders and participating teachers.
- MiS aims to improve teacher confidence, capability and capacity to deliver a music curriculum.
- This year, The Song Room will deliver MiS in 80 schools across Victoria.
