Award for Outstanding Social Engagement -Eradicating Unemployment in the unorganized Sector

The Functional Vocational Training and Research Society (FVTRS), a non-profit organization based in Bangalore, aims to enhance the employability of underprivileged youth, especially early school leavers, through vocational training. Our operations span across 13 states, with nearly 200 training centre’s. we emphasize sustainable development, social inclusion, and the empowerment of women and disadvantaged groups.
Since 1993, FVTRS has trained more than 1,75,000 youth, with a remarkable 83% Percentage of securing employment.
FVTRS is organizing its 16th National Skill Conference (NSC) on 29th November in Bangalore. The NSC is a significant event that brings together professionals, experts, educators, policymakers, and other stakeholders from across the country to reflect on key areas of skill development and employment.
The event aims to foster collaboration among various entities involved in the skill ecosystem by facilitating networking opportunities, encouraging partnerships between industry and academia, and promoting dialogue between government bodies and other organizations in the skill eco system.
Building on the success of previous years, we have once again instituted National Awards in five categories to recognize the commendable work of NGOs, philanthropic units, CSR initiatives, and foundations. These awards aim to appreciate their outstanding contributions to social development and nation-building.

  1. The selected awardees will be invited to attend the NSC on 29th November, where the awards will be presented by dignitaries during the conference.
  2. The award will focus only on life changing intervention made  for the employment creation for the people from unorganized sector.

The categories are

  • Empowerment Excellence Award for Disadvantaged Youth: Recognizing outstanding efforts in skilling and employment for underprivileged (Dalit, Tribal , third gender and other backward communities) youth.
  • Women’s Upliftment Award for Skilling and Employment:
    Recognizing the initiatives that empower women in distress, backward castes, and tribal communities through skill development and employment.
  • Eco  friendly   skill development  for  Award for Sustainable livelihood 
    Acknowledging innovative eco-friendly skill programs that promote sustainable employment.
  • Heritage Impact Award for Skill Modernization
    Awarding innovations that enhance traditional skills with modern relevance to meet market demands.
  • Inclusion Champion Award for Differently-Abled Skill Development
    Rewarding organizations excelling in creating accessible skill programs and employment opportunities for differently-abled individuals.

Declarations

  • The award will comprise a cash prize and a certificate.
  • The award is open to all Indian NGOs, philanthropic organizations, CSR initiatives of companies, and foundations, without distinction or discrimination based on race, sex, caste, or creed.
  • Personal applications will not be considered for the award.
  • Only recent achievements   from  the year 2021 to 2024 will be considered. However, earlier work may be taken into account if it has significantly contributed to the recent achievement.
  • The Screening Committee will review nominations and finalize the awardees based on the criteria  set by FVTRS. 
  • The decisions of the Screening Committee are final and not subject to appeal and change.
