This position is based at Varanasi and must only be filled by the permanent residents of India.

Job Purpose

This position will handle and support capacity development implementation/ operations and project coordination mainly for the DBT project and other capacity development programs under CEIRD unit at ISARC. The incumbent will be responsible for the project activities in close coordination with the IRRI- DBT IRRI Project Principal Investigator.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the smooth coordination of the project, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and communication flows effectively in close coordination with the project PI.
  • Provide capacity building training and support in both theoretical and practical aspects, fostering continuous learning among project participants.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the implementation of all capacity development programs under the DBT project.
  • Coordinate with the project PI, resource persons and content experts for the design, delivery and evaluation of the training programs.
  • Establish and implement a sound monitoring and evaluation framework and process of the training batches and prepare the corresponding reports. the reporting
  • Support in planning and coordinating the outreach efforts
  • Facilitate training programs implemented under the project.

  • Assist the project team, IE, and ISARC in various content-related tasks such as writing, curation, and report generation. This includes collaboration with the team to produce social media posts, brief writings, and other documentation activities.
  • Draft reports for submission to supervisor and/or stakeholders [e.g project reports/monthly reports]
  • Support in development of content and OERs in coordination with resource persons
  • Sew3Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as directed for visibility of CEIRD, ISARC, IRRI and CGIAR
  • Ensure life-long learnings for all the project participants
  • Establish and nurture a “community of practice” platform, facilitating regular interactions among participants and all project stakeholders to address on-field queries and challenges collectively.
  • The incumbent will also support writing concept notes, business proposals, training reports, and managing relations with the stakeholders
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

Masters in Agriculture with a minimum of 3 years of work experience. Good background in agriculture (MS level agriculture or related courses major), at least 3 years’ experience in designing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating capacity development programs

Skills Required

  •  Has a very good background in agriculture or related fields
  • Has worked in designing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating capacity development programs for at least 3 years
  • Has strong technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has excellent knowledge on Microsoft Office tools, use of social media, word processing, image creations/graphic design, search engine optimization (SEO) tools, and content management tools etc.
  • Has experience in monitoring and evaluation of training batches
  • Has very good knowledge of any other regional languages like Bengali/Odia/Assamese
  • Has experience working in a cross-cultural environment
