The consultant will work under the overall supervision of the Director of the UNESCO Dakar Office and the day-to-day supervision of the Head of UNESCO Accra Office, who will provide key input and guidance for the consultancy assignment. The consultant will also work closely with the Senior Consultant for Resource Mobilization and Partnership for West Africa.

Responsibilities

• Map existing and potential partnerships, including government agencies, international organizations, private sector entities, foundations, and civil society organizations at national level.
• Contribute to the development of the Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Strategy of the UNESCO Regional Office for West Africa.
• Develop and operationalize the respective national office’s resource mobilisation action plan.
• Develop high-quality funding proposals tailored to different donors, maintain and update project pipeline in close collaboration with programme teams.
• Coordinate with programme and communications teams to enhance donor visibility.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in international relations, development studies, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in partnership development, resource mobilisation, and strategic planning within international organizations.
• Proven track record of developing high quality project proposals.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
• Strong writing and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work in diverse environments.
• Fluency in English is required.
