Introduction :

Country: Vientiane, Lao PDR with two missions. 

Description of the Assignment:  

With guidance from the team leader, the consultant will have the following principal responsibilities (expected results), as well as other related tasks that may be identified as necessary to the success of the Project in attaining its objectives: 

Policy and Institutional Alignment Review

·       Conduct a rapid review of policy alignment: Review the extent to which intra-governmental processes and policies in all sectors are in alignment with the new GBF

·       Promote as aligned, whole of government approach: Identify opportunities for enhanced mainstreaming of biodiversity, promote a whole-of-government approach to biodiversity and examine of areas ripe for improved policy coherence

·       Develop a priotitzed action plan for policy coherence: Develop of a prioritized set of actions to fill institutional gaps and advance the country toward policy coherence

·       Undertake other early actions related to policy alignment: For countries with advanced work on policy alignment, they can consider undertaking key steps that would advance work on implementing results of their policy analyses, including spatializing the results

·       advance work on implementing their finance action plan, including conducting feasibility analyses, and/or early implantation of specific finance solutions.

All outputs and documents where applicable to be submitted in electronic form (soft copy) with approved formats compatible with Microsoft Office and Adobe Image and other files in approved formats. 

 

Period of assignment/services (if applicable):  40 working days. 

 

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
