Description of the Assignment:  

Conduct a study for promoting transition climate finance in Bangladesh; assist UNDP/Economic Relations Division (ERD)  of the Ministry of Finance of the GoB for developing policies and strategies for transition climate finance; proposing legal and institutional arrangements for facilitating transition finance; aligning transition finance with existing climate change adaptation and mitigation policies and strategies; identify scopes and areas, private and public funds, suitable products, instruments and modalities for transition finance; propose strategies to facilitate access to transitional finance by different industries and businesses; identify challenges for promoting transition finance in Bangladesh; identify standards and best practices for promoting transition finance and align them in the context of Bangladesh; mobilize policymakers, public and private stakeholders for promoting transition finance and facilitate stakeholder engagement. 

Period of assignment/services 35  working days over 03 months starting from July- September 2024
