For every child, Solutions for Micronutrients Deficiency in China.
Micronutrient deficiencies are key contributors to the global burden of disease. They represent a significant proportion of the morbidity and mortality suffered by women of reproductive age and children. They also constrain child growth and development and undermine national development. Most micronutrient malnutrition is caused by poor diets and impaired nutrient absorption or utilization due to infection or parasitic infestation, which also increase metabolic needs for many micronutrients.
Micronutrients deficiency is still a public health problem in China especially populations among children and women with reproductive age. China has strategies to prevent micronutrients deficiency among the population through dietary improvement, fortified food and micronutrients supplement and significant progress achieved in combating micronutrients deficiencies in China during the past twenty years. However, there are large disparities in anemia mainly due to micronutrients deficiency and in other vitamin and mineral deficiencies with the rural social-economic groups having rates higher than that of the urban areas and among different age groups.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
