Independence Australia is seeking a National Freight & Administration Manager looking to play a key role in a dynamic social enterprise with strong growth aspirations.
The National Freight & Administration Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse enquiries team and warehouse administration officers nationally by providing guidance to the back-end warehouse administrative support. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way.

- Prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures
- Flexibility to travel interstate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics preferred or equivalent experience
- Professional administrative experience
- Previous leadership experience
- To full fill the duties of the position there is a requirement to work reasonable additional hours in particular at each month end and year end.
- To full fill the duties of the position there is a requirement to travel to work at other sites and to attend training, meetings, or other work-related events.
The National Freight & Administration Manager key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures
- Managing and ensuring the accuracy of product storage warehouse inventories
- Facilitating the establishment of commercial connections between customers and suppliers
- Responsible for driving performance and productivity of the administrative, back-end support teams Nationally.
- Support Warehouse Operational requirements such as Stock takes, Warehouse facilities support in conjunction with the relevant Warehouse manager, Warehouse relocations, or any other operational, management requirement as directed by the Executive General Manager – Products
- Manage daily work activities to ensure staff allocation is effective to meet priorities;
- Address performance issues with operational staff on the floor, and escalate to the appropriate level as required;
- Assist the Executive Management in overseeing Document control/management, auditing, reporting and corrective action processes;
- Assist the Executive Management with the implementation of audits program, system failure analysis, and subsequent procedure development;
