ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Location: National Office, Surrey Hills – VIC
  • Employment Type: Ongoing / Full time (part time negotiable)

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, your responsibilities include overseeing the operational, budgetary, and business direction of our Allied Health, Behaviour Support, and Deafblind Services, nationally.

You’ll play a critical role in safeguarding client rights, reducing restrictive practices, promoting research, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders. This role is essential in supporting Able Australia’s commitment to person-centered, evidence-based practices.

With ongoing supervision, guidance, and direct clinical support, you’ll lead these teams to ensure that both our staff and clients experience better days, every day.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

  • Post Graduate qualification in allied health or relevant discipline
  • AHPRA / AASW / SPA or other relevant registration
  • Suitability assessed as NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Advanced or higher, is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the capacity to lead National teams and services in environments of change, with a focus on client and organisational outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience applying evidence-based approaches, identifying restrictive practices and promoting allied health and positive behaviour support across a range of contexts
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in allied health and behaviour support, and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with supervision within a clinical setting.
  • Detailed understanding of the NDIS, holding a demonstrable track record of achieving service growth that is viable and sustainable
