About the Role
Are you a seasoned and innovative professional with a deep commitment to and understanding of the Baptist Church in Australia with experience in church engagement, fundraising, philanthropy, business development and/or marketing?
Baptist World Aid is looking for a passionate Partnership Manager who will drive our strategic partnership initiatives, establish and maintain relationships across the national Baptist network and support our National Church partnership, Mobilisation and Philanthropy teams.
This position is accountable for engagement and financial targets of the partnership team including Church Partnership, Major Gifts, Regular Giving acquisition, and is a key driver of new partnership initiatives including school and corporate partnerships. As the successful candidate you will be a confident self starter with a can do approach to pursuing and driving innovative strategy with the ability to connect with key influencers and donors in both a church and corporate setting.

Desired Skills and Experience
What you need to succeed
An excellent people manager who influences and mobilises by shaping team beliefs and values and providing a safe environment to have a courageous spirit, be innovative and commit to strategy.
- Significant experience in a project/people management, fundraising, philanthropy, marketing and/or communications management role or similar.
- The ability and demonstrated experience in proactively managing organisational resources – human, technical and fiscal.
- The ability to plan, articulate, implement tasks to ensure deadlines are met to meet operational goals.
- Proven ability to establish key relationships in a Not for Profit or Christian setting.
- Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills.
- Excellent Public speaking capacity – able to speak in churches and other forums
- An authentic Christian, with strong commitment to the values, vision and mission of the Baptist Church, and willingness to participate in prayers and biblical reflection sessions
Desirable knowledge Skills and Experience
Ideally you will have;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in large scale project or partnership delivery and meeting revenue targets in complex environments
- Previous experience in building partnerships, partnership management, business development and/or key relationship building within a not for profit context
- a member of a Baptist church
- An interest and capacity to understand, engage with and support the biblical theology that informs Baptist World Aid’s development and engagement approach.
