Position details

  • Full-Time Permanent Position
  • Classification: Senior Management and Specialist Remuneration Level 3 with a salary range of $153,575 – $172,169 per annum + Superannuation
  • Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year
  • Location: Head Office, Preston Victoria, however remote or hybrid working arrangements will be considered

About your new role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Operations – Integrated Wellbeing, the National Practice Lead (NPL) plays a critical national leadership role that supports, guides, and embeds strategic contemporary evidence-based practice across Neami’s diverse service delivery models and discipline’s including community rehabilitation support and clinical (Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology and Medical).

This ongoing role is an exciting opportunity to join Neami’s new Service Excellence Hub to lead and deliver priority projects that drive forward important practice including:

  • Transdisciplinary approach
  • Safety and opportunity
  • Credentialling and scopes of practice
  • Trauma informed service delivery.

The NPL will have responsibility for:

  • Embedding evidence-based practice that results in great consumer experience
  • Facilitation of learnings that result in practice development and continuous improvement across Neami’s new services delivery approaches
  • Provision of expert advice, guidance, and resources; as well as strategic advice on emerging research and trends relevant to practice
  • Leadership in practice governance, professional standards & compliance, and collaboration in business development opportunities.

Collaboration across Neami networks, service streams and teams as well as across drawing on diverse perspectives and on specific projects.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse, Clinical Social Worker, Occupational Therapist) with significant relevant clinical and applied experience and skills in mental health services at a senior level + eligibility for professional registration (e.g., APRHA, APS, AASW).
  • Strong commitment to recovery-orientated mental health services and experience with addressing a range of chronic and severe health conditions in hospital and health services
  • A strong commitment to consumer rights, co-design of services and consumer participation in mental health service delivery
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders to develop clinical capacity to meet the current and future requirements of Neami National
