Reporting to Programme Manager on GIHA, the Project Coordinator Consultant is responsible for coordinating the CSO Twinning Project portfolio which includes coordinating relationships with national partners and stakeholders, and the monitoring and reporting, and the finances and personnel of the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordinator in the overall Programme/Portfolio work plan development and implementation according to the flagship model in Afghanistan aproject document.
- Gather inputs and coordinate the preparation of work-plans, periodic narrative progress reports and expenditures status reports to the donors and UN Women.
- Support Humanitarian Programme Manager to establish systems for project planning, implementation and monitoring, in collaboration with partners.
- support in partner management processes inline with partnership agreements and in close coordination with the Program Support and Management Unit (PMSU)
- Record and maintain documents on relevant Programme process, activities, issues, risks, impacts and milestone achievements.
- Monitor the implementation of activities and the expenditure of funds; conduct regular monitoring visits, as required.
- Draft and provide inputs to annual and quarterly reports; coordinate the submission of implementing partner financial and narrative reports.
- Support Project Coordinators to monitor activities, impacts and results, identification of concerns, opportunities etc. and provide inputs from CSO WPHF programme activities and results to Country Office reporting.
- support in developing lessons learnt logs, risk matrix, monitoring plans and monitoring reports as well as additional monitoring processes which may be required.
Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women’s studies, international development, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building is required.
- Experience working in humanitarian settings and understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms is an asset.
- Experience working with UN agencies, humanitarian clusters, NGOs, and donor agencies is an asset.
- Proven ability to work in complex humanitarian contexts, with an understanding of Afghanistan’s humanitarian landscape is an asset.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Dari/Pashto is an asset.
