The role

Reporting to the Fundraising Director, this role will suit someone with a natural flair for communication and storytelling. This diverse position offers you the chance to lead Catholic Mission’s national Schools Strategy, including the innovative and award-nominated Socktober program.

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead, manage and mentor a small team of passionate professionals.
  • Develop and enhance the annual Socktober campaign..
  • Develop strategies and executing plans for attracting participants and supporters.
  • Oversee an integrated schools and youth engagement program.

Catholic Mission partner with developing communities around the world, helping them to flourish by supporting grassroots projects, including healthcare, education, and faith formation, and being an active voice for human rights. They are the Pope’s international mission agency in Australia.

For over 100 years in Australia, and 200 years as a global network, Catholic Mission have provided crucial funding and project support to communities most in need across Africa and the Middle East, Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas.

What you bring

You are a natural people leader, and an inspirational storyteller who understands how to develop and deliver campaigns that make a difference, along with an understanding of and deep value for the mission.

Specifically, you will have:

  • Experience crafting incredible stories through to launching multi-channel campaigns.
  • The ability to ignite the passion of Catholic schools, students, and youth.
  • Leadership skills to develop and mentor a small team.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in relevant disciplines such as fundraising, communications, marketing, education, management, theology, or international development.
  • Ideally, you have prior experience or familiarity with the Catholic Education Sector or other Catholic Church ministries.
