Job Description

The incumbent will carry out the activities in support of the national technical services that are partners of the project, and the national expert will support the capacity building activities of these partners.
He/she will work in close collaboration with the FAO technical team, under the supervision of the regional project coordinator of STAT SANOI based at the FAO representation in Madagascar.

Tasks and responsibilities:

The incumbent will support the implementation and monitoring of project activities in the country.
Support the collection of updated data from the different national partners, the harmonization, analysis and visualization of data.
Support the organization of surveys for data collection in the country.
Support the preparation of synthesis publications about agriculture and food and nutrition security in the country.
Support the organization of meetings, workshops, training, and international technical assistance missions.
Participate in the drafting of reports related to the project activities in the country.
Other related duties as required.

Candidates Will Be Assessed Against The Following:

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree or higher in economics, statistics, or other relevant scientific fields.
At least 5 years’ experience in data analysis, preferably in the areas of agriculture, food and nutrition security or poverty.
Working knowledge of English (level C) and limited knowledge of French (level B).
Nationality of Seychelles or resident in the country with a regular work permit.
