About the job

Based in Brussels (Belgium), you will join the NCI Agency as a Senior Integration Engineer (G17), helping to design and implement integration solutions that connect NATO’s business applications and platforms.

Working within the NATO Business Applications Centre (NBAC), you will contribute to the Agency’s Cloud broker role and play a key part in harmonising, rationalising, and ensuring coherence of business applications across the NATO Enterprise. By enabling transparency, efficiency, and internal control, NBAC supports NATO’s day-to-day business operations and mission effectiveness.

As Senior Integration Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex integration solutions between enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle platforms, ServiceNow, databases, cloud platforms).

• Ensure seamless data exchange using APIs, middleware, messaging queues, or ETL tools.

• Define and enforce integration architectures, standards, and best practices.

• Incorporate security, compliance, and data governance into integration design.

• Build, test, and optimise integration components (using Boomi, APEX, Azure Logic Apps, or custom code such as Python, Java, .NET).

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve integration performance.

Manage and administer NATO’s Boomi environments, providing third-line support and enabling new process development.

About you

You bring:

• A university degree in a relevant discipline, or at least 6 years’ extensive and progressive integration experience.

• Strong knowledge of the

Boomi platform

• and integration infrastructure management.

• Hands-on experience developing and supporting integration processes.

• Familiarity with containers (Docker/Podman).

• Proficiency in integration lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and optimisation.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Desirable

• Experience with Oracle/RedHat Linux (including shell scripting).

• APEX development experience.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.

Prior experience in an international environment, ideally with NATO or similar organisations.
