POSITION SUMMARY
This employee ensures all reporting associates adhere to all Mariani quality and safety standards. This associate should apply their expertise in their designated field to ensure the department’s production efforts are met through day-to-day operations. This associate will use their skills in communication, time management, and leadership to complete essential duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Follow company policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Arrive for each workday on time and prepared. Work necessary hours to complete work each workday, including working more than 40 hours per week at times.
  • Ensure reporting associates follow company policy and procedures.
  • Provide crews with daily schedules and instructions.
  • Consistently check jobs budgeted hours and adjust the crew’s day-to-day activities to meet the needs of the contract.
  • Ensure crews are prepared with necessary materials and equipment daily.
  • Communicate with the Client Representative and offer problem resolution and technical advice.
  • Communicate with the shop team on equipment needs and use.
  • Communicate with Program Manager and Client Representative as site requirements change based on field assessments.
  • Participate in the snow removal process as directed by Snow Command.
  • Inspect each site regularly to ensure Mariani quality standards are being met.
  • Train crew members on processes, techniques, equipment operation, pest identification and control measures in the field.
  • Supervise the daily activities and performance of the crews.
  • Handle problems and concerns on jobsites.
  • Maintain accurate list of crew members and jobsite locations.
  • Lead weekly safety and training meetings.
  • Complete and monitor all HR and Technology requests associated with your program.
  • Verify and submit accurate daily attendance for reporting associates.
  • Consistently review the performance of your reporting associates and provide feedback.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in and contribute to Mariani initiatives.
  • Assist in the orientation/training of new associates.
  • Assist other team members in the performance of their assignments.
  • Recommend process improvements and areas to improve our service offerings to clients.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to self-development and continuing education.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position is responsible for assigning, reviewing, and checking the work of other employees.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • HS Diploma

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years field experience.
  • Knowledge of equipment and materials used in your program.
  • Ability to use the company production software and Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients and Mariani associates on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to lead and direct others in an effective manner.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.
  • Valid state Driver’s License
  • Valid state issued Pesticide License

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work requires intermittent physical activity including standing, reaching, and sitting. Physical requirements may also include lifting, bending, walking, and pushing on an occasional basis. This position works outdoors in various whether conditions, including heavy snow and ice. This position has exposure to chemicals and solvents, and possible fumes, requiring protective equipment to be worn. Work requires driving a car to various job locations. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to client needs and deadlines.
