Second, the NRE Economist provides guidance to USAID’s economic growth programs regarding best practices on agricultural, natural resource, and environment policies; technological innovations; and the environmental and economic consequences of development assistance. Additionally, as a key staff member in AFR/SD/EGEA, the NRE Economist participates in a wide range of Bureau, Office, and Division activity reviews, initiatives, and analyses, as well as managing activities that may support either of the NRE Economist’s two overall roles.
