Nature Education Intern 

Grass River Natural Area (GRNA) is seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals for its Nature Education Internship. This position offers hands-on experience in environmental education, with responsibilities that include leading summer camps, school programs, public events, and other educational initiatives. The intern will collaborate with the Education Director and naturalists to engage visitors and promote a deeper appreciation for the natural world at the Grass River Center in Bellaire, Michigan, and its surrounding area. Additional duties may include assisting with outreach programs and contributing to natural resource monitoring and conservation efforts.

Timeline: Interviews typically held in February and March with selections made in March. Positions run mid-May to mid-August depending on intern’s schedule.

​Compensation:
This is a paid internship offering $14 per hour in 2026. Please note that housing is not provided, but may be available at low-cost through some local partners.
