The Nature Explorers Group Leader reports to the Program Coordinator and will primarily work with the half-day summer day camp program, children ages 4-5. This includes teaching camp groups each week, assisting with the development of curriculum, and assisting with the supervision of interns and volunteers. The group leader will assist with other educational programming, prep for upcoming camp weeks, assist with general facility and grounds upkeep, and other tasks assigned by the Program Coordinator or Executive Director.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be required stand for extended periods of time while leading youth, and must be able to hike on uneven and hilly terrain continuously for up to five miles during the summer heat and humidity. The employee will also be expected to sit and perform extensive keyboard work for curriculum development and parent communication. The employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, run or climb as part of duties leading youth.
