Support Workers assist NDIS participants with complex and varied behavioural, intellectual, mental health and physical support needs in homes and communities.  

As a qualified Support Worker, you will provide exceptional services tailored to each customer’s unique needs across various areas such as daily living, health and wellbeing, home environment, lifelong learning, relationships, social and community participation, work, and choice & control.

What you’ll be doing

No two days will be the same in this role. The support you provide will be varied, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting NDIS participants to maintain or increase independence and achieve identified goals in line with their NDIS plan
  • Following and implementing individual Behaviour Support Plans
  • Providing support services to customers with complex needs (inc. mental illness, autism and epilepsy), helping them to build confidence, self-determination and communication abilities
  • Occasional clients will require assistance with personal care such as hoisting on and off beds, showering, meal prepping

About you

Along with your passion for supporting others, you will:

  • Have substantial and demonstrated experience in managing complex behavioural support plans for clients who may have dual or multi diagnosis including intellectual, mental health concerns and exhibit additional behaviour of high concern – this would be preferred not required
  • Bring your experience to support NDIS participants to achieve their personal goals and increase their personal capacity

Qualifications

  • Hold a minimum Cert IV in Individual Support (or equivalent) and/or combined with relevant experience
  • Hold a current state-based Driver’s License with a registered reliable vehicle
  • A current National Police Check and Victorian Working with Children’s Check
