About the Opportunity
The Neighbourhood Coordinator is responsible for leading a team to make a real difference in a Retirement Village. This role will be based in the village and work closely with the entire resident community to facilitate the delivery of quality services to support our residents to stay independent in their own homes and to stay connected to their local community.
The Neighbourhood Coordinator will ensure their team fosters strong and professional relationships with each resident and their circle of support. They will be the central point of contact for residents and oversee the coordination of services to help navigate the relevant support, based on the individual need.
We currently have a full-time role (part-time may be considered), as a Neighbourhood Coordinator. Based on site at our beautiful The Garrison and Kilarney, Mosman Retirement and Independent Living village you will be working solely with the residents who live there. You will be managing support workers to deliver our Assisted Living services, providing care and social support to the village.
About you
- Tertiary or Diploma qualification in a relevant field, such as Aged Care, Health, Business and/or working towards or equivalent years of experience
- Two or more years of experience in supervising a team, and nurturing them through ambiguity and change
- Experience in the Aged Care and/or the Health environment
- Significant understanding of client needs, to convert these into positive service delivery outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills, with the client always at the centre
- Ability to effectively plan and manage budgets
- Confident in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for vulnerable, at-risk and disadvantaged members of the community
- Proficient in using multiple computer applications, as well as the willingness to learn new systems/programs
- First Aid Certificate
- Current driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
