This is an opening for a Network Operations Engineer to support a Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM) Operation Division. This program provides transparent, interconnected systems and security supporting the DoS in successfully carrying out its U.S. foreign policy mission. The Operations Division provides enterprise operations and maintenance support primarily to the DoS’s foreign networks around the world. SAIC’s program is named “Vanguard” and is an IT consolidation consisting of the Department’s domestic and foreign network switch, routers and WAN devices.
This is a shift work position for operations that are Monday – Friday 7am-11pm. Operations are expected to transition to 24/7 in the next 12 months which will require weekend support. This role requires on-site work and occasional local travel to the Dulles, VA area may be required.
