JOB SUMMARY:
The Networking and Resource Mobilization Coordinator will be responsible for expanding Islamic Relief Philippines’ network of partners, donors, and stakeholders to secure both financial and non-financial resources in support of the organization’s programs and initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing resource mobilization strategies, identifying funding opportunities, managing donor relationships, and fostering partnerships that contribute to the organization’s sustainability and growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resource Mobilization Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy, identifying diverse funding sources such as institutional donors, foundations, private sector, and government agencies.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities in line with the organization’s mission and programs.
- Lead the development of fundraising proposals, grant applications, and sponsorship pitches to secure financial support
Partnership and Networking Development:
- Build and maintain relationships with potential donors, partners, corporate entities, government bodies, and international organizations.
- Represent the organization at networking events, meetings, and conferences to build visibility and explore collaboration opportunities.
- Foster partnerships and alliances that increase the organization’s access to resources, expertise, and influence.
- Lead in partner prospecting trips to assess, select, and negotiate partnerships with stakeholders in key geographies.
- Support program and finance units in the conduct of partnership assessments and/or due diligence (virtual and in-person) with potential partners to ensure they have the capacity to implement effectively, and prospect partnership is in line with the country strategy.
Donor and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring regular communication and reporting on the impact of their contributions.
- Organize and coordinate donor visits, events, and recognition activities to maintain strong, long-term partnerships.
- Manage and update the donor and partner database, ensuring all communications, agreements, and reports are accurately recorded.
Proposal Development and Reporting:
- Collaborate with program and finance teams to develop compelling proposals that align with donor priorities and organizational objectives.
- Ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals, funding applications, and reports, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines.
- Monitor and report on the progress of funded projects, preparing impact assessments and donor reports as required.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor trends in resource mobilization and partnership development, keeping the organization informed of best practices and innovative approaches.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising and partnership activities, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet targets.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, Fundraising, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, partnership development, or donor relations, preferably in the NGO or non-profit sector.
- Proven track record of developing successful grant proposals and securing funds from a variety of sources (e.g., institutional donors, foundations, corporations).
- Relevant experience in project development and developing proposals for a variety of donors including dealing with EC, ECHO, UN and DFID.
- Experience of developing links with INGOs, Government agencies, Institutional donors and other stakeholders.
Skills:
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Excellent proposal writing and grant application skills.
- Knowledge of donor requirements and experience in managing donor-funded projects.
- Experience and excellent program development skills for donors like ECHO, DFID, SIDA etc
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to represent, liaise and negotiate at different levels (national, provincial and local).
- Knowledge/familiarity/expertise in program areas: e.g. Economic Empowerment/Livelihoods, DRR, Peacebuilding and Education etc.
