We are currently conducting a national search for a Director, Neuromuscular Medicine who will lead our Neuromuscular Division faculty. The new director will work in collaboration with the Department Chair on the strategy and operational functions of the program and its basic laboratory. The director will be accountable for the quality of research, clinical practice, teaching, policy and procedure development and performance improvement in the neuromuscular program.
The neuromuscular team currently includes three full time faculty and has a combined ACGME accredited neuromuscular fellowship program with UCLA and an accredited neurophysiology fellowship with includes EMG, EEG and IOM. Cedars-Sinai has one of the largest ALS programs in the country and our commitment to leading-edge care has earned Cedars-Sinai recognition as a Certified Treatment Center of Excellence from the ALS Association and a designated Muscular Dystrophy Association ALS Care Center.
Faculty at Cedars-Sinai have a unique research funding opportunity with the California Stem Cell Agency (CIRM) and Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute. There are several novel stem cell projects under way in neurology and across Cedar-Sinai Medical Center.
Neurosciences at Cedars-Sinai is #1 in Los Angeles County for number of inpatient neurosciences discharges. The program offers world-class care for over 150 complex neurological disorders, and known for state-of-the-art research, clinical outcomes and personalized attention given to each patient.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.
Pay Range: $280,369 – $428,890 Total Cash Compensation
Qualifications

Medical Degree from an accredited medical school

Board Certification in Neurology, and Neuromuscular Medicine or Neurophysiology

Unrestricted California license as a physician

Eligible for recommendation to the appropriate academic rank in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Professoriate and the David Geffen School of Medicine (if applicable).

A published author of peer reviewed articles, with ability to serve as principal or co-investigator

A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care, research (clinical or basic) and administration
