Offer Description

We are looking for an expert post-doc to join the NeuroGlio team within the Cancer and Brain Genomics INSERM unit and the Normandy Institut of Precision Medicine, to work on the elucidation of the molecular and metabolic signatures of the GlioVascular Unit (PAIR Brain Tumor project- GlioVasc Project). The global aim of the whole program is to elucidate the key features of the gliovascular unit and its pivotal role in glioblastoma (GB) recurrence and treatment resistance. We propose to explore the dynamic trajectories of the GB and stromal cells within the gliovascular unit from human GB samples and their molecular underpinnings during the Stupp protocol. Our NeuroGlio team will map the gliovascular unit heterogeneity phenotypically (organoids) and at the single cell level in GB patients and carry some gene targets validation in GB resection preclinical models.

Profile: Establishment for the organoids (GBO) and gliovascular units (GBV) from GB patient samples from the surgical block to the laboratory, maintenance, optimization of intra-tumor heterogenous cell composition and proliferation status. From selected patient samples, spatial single cell RNA-seq and metabolomics from the gliovascular unit, through the facilities of the Institute for Research and Innovation in Biomedicine of the Rouen Health Institute. Patient derived cell lines will also be generated. From tumoroids and xenografted animal models, key molecular target of the gliovascular niche will be then tested.

Requirements
Specific Requirements

The ideal candidate should have excellent teamwork skills in 2D/3D cell culture, tumoroïds and organoids, microscopy and 3D imaging/use of the Imaris software, skills in conducting single cell RNAseq experiments from tissue samples, and expertise in in vivo preclinical models of GB should be a plus. He/she would be fluent in both spoken and written English.
