We are seeking a multimedia News Producer (f/m/d) for our DW Studio in New Delhi, India as of 1 April 2024 or as soon as possible on the basis of a full-time local staff contract limited for two years.
THE ROLE
- preparing and researching news stories for TV, Social Media and Online for the DW correspondents
- producing visual content and editing videos for DW’s various digital platforms (including promoting our stories via social media)
- participation in the production of long form DW video projects
- newsgathering (press conferences, briefings, breaking news, competitors’ publications, etc.)
- organization of DW coverage of big news events in India, such as summits and elections
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- completed university studies in a relevant field
- previous experience working in a journalistic environment
- very good knowledge of Indian affairs and institutions
- excellent command of English, knowledge of Hindi and/or other local languages required, good command of German an advantage
- very good social media and visual production skills with Adobe Premiere and not afraid of the technical side of broadcasting
- excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach
- ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
