Your team
Within the Network Management Directorate, the Network Manager Operations Centre (NMOC) optimises traffic flows by constantly balancing capacity supply and demand while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights going to and over Europe.
Please note, roles within the NMOC are expected to change as necessitated by introduction of the new system, iNM, and thus applicants should be aware of this prospect and be able to demonstrate resilience, and dealing effectively, professionally, and collaboratively with change.
Your role
Within the Airspace Data domain, your role will be to:
Coordinate the workflow of European AIS Database (EAD) operational positions, process and analyse aeronautical data (input, validation etc.) and provide support to aeronautical users via the service desk.
Assign tasks to the Network Specialists and ensure timely completion of activities and resolution of potential incidents.
Provide support to all data users, integrate new users and handle technical migration as needed.
Perform data controls as to ensure quality and safety standards to comply with existing certifications.
Provide expertise in EAD field as support to decision making process and trigger initiatives for improvement of operational processes, activities and services.
Ensure that services are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with operational priorities.
Coach and train team members including OJTI, as required.
Stay updated in all related operational documentation, international regulations and standards applicable in the different areas.
Participate in other activities and projects in support of operations (e.g. testing, training, incident management exercises, validations, etc.), as required.
Work temporarily in support functions during office hours.
Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
Relevant studies or professional training to carry out the advertised tasks.
This job is subject to an internal vocational training which will lead to the awarding of a certification.
This role requires the attainment and retention of a double validations amongst the following operational domains: Flow Management, Flight Planning or Data Operations. Passing this double validation is mandatory to conclude the training phase.
A minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in AIS/AIM operations, in NOTAMs processing or in ATS Reporting Office.
Knowledge of International Aeronautical Publications, Aeronautical Information Services/Management (AIS/AIM) and ICAO standards.
Knowledge and experience with aeronautical data models (e.g. AIXM) would be an advantage.
Knowledge and experience with aeronautical databases systems would be an advantage.
Experience in the use of MS Office standard application.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1/C2. The selected candidate will be required to become basic users at level A1/A2 of French before the end of the probation period. The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

Before receiving an official offer, external candidates must provide certified documentation of their completed studies or relevant professional training.
Before being established in the post, candidates must successfully complete internal vocational training to earn certification. Additionally, they are required to serve a probationary period. If the training concludes in less than nine months, the remaining period up to nine months will be served as probation. If the training extends beyond nine months, the candidate’s official establishment in the post will only occur after the full completion of the training.
The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level.
Candidates declared suitable who are not selected for the post will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles. The reserve list will be valid for one year from the closing date of applications.
