What is Therapy Focus?

Therapy Focus is a non-profit, community service organisation that specialises in individual therapy. We have a team of clinicians and administrative support staff, who work collaboratively to develop comprehensive, individualised therapy plans to meet the needs and goals of our customers.

We are seeking two Non-Executive Directors to complement the skills and experience of our existing Board. 

We are interested in applicants who have one or more of the following:

  • lived experience as a parent of a child with disability, who is an established influencer in the disability sector.
  • commercially focused, holding financial (incl. current CPA/CA) and/or ICT qualifications.
  • established links into high levels of the education system.
  • significant stakeholder engagement experience.

The role:

As a Non-Executive Director, you will:

  • contribute to the strategic direction and monitor implementation of our strategic plan.
  • provide governance and oversight performance of the organisation.
  • use your skills and experience to ensure the organisation achieves its mission.
  • contribute to Board and Committee meetings.
  • participate in stakeholder engagement activities.
  • be remunerated.
  • receive support for your ongoing Board related professional development.

You will be required to attend up to 12 Board meetings and Committee meetings per year, and key events throughout the year.

What’s also required:

  • Passion and commitment to improve the lives of people with disability.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Values driven, including high levels of integrity and respect.
  • NDIS Worker Screening and National Police Clearance.

Also desirable is previous Board or Committee experience and a working knowledge of the disability sector.
