 North American Bison Summit Film Shorts Festival Coordinator

The Film Shorts Coordinator is a crucial part of the Wildlife Restoration Foundation (WRF) North American Bison Summit (NABS) team. Pull off a well-orchestrated Film Shorts evening show with ample entries and contribute to WRF’s mission by organizing and executing a successful Summit dedicated to bison conservation and management and preserving the ranching way of life in America. Key Position Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Work with NABS Team to identify filmmakers focused on subjects related to NABS.
  • Develop or help issue invitations individualized to filmmakers.
  • Be the on-the-ground handler for any participating filmmakers.
  • Work with Exhibit Space Coordinator to ensure logistics are managed well.
  • Ensure filmmakers and film content and accolades are recognized effectively in the NABS program and on the website.
  • Recruit possible contributions to the NABS Silent Auction.
  • Coordinate on-site event and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Liaison with The Ranch Events Complex on A/V and equipment needs.
  • Assist with Summit communications (Social Media, Press Releases, Media Liaison, Infographics) related to the Film Shorts Festival (last evening of the Summit).
  • Any other needed areas that fulfill Summit development on-site and in pre-preparation. Work with a fun and able team from across the continent!

WRF requests a dedicated 16-20 hours per week (flexible schedule) and an agreement to work with WRF for leading up to the event with availability to be on-site for the April 1-4, 2025 North American Bison Summit in Loveland, Colorado. The logistics team member must be a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about WRF’s mission.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong experience working with filmmakers, especially those depicting wildlife, ranching, Tribal life, and other subject matter of NABS
  • Familiarity with land conservation issues and Western heritage and Tribes
  • Experience with ranches and farms a plus
  • Passion for wildlife and conservation required!

The Film Shorts Festival Coordinator will report to the NABS Co-Leads. Hours are flexible within the week, but participation in the North American Bison Summit core team meetings is vital.
