Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) accredited land trust dedicated to the conservation, restoration, and appreciation of native prairies, savannas, and other grasslands in Texas.

Position Summary: The North Texas Conservation Manager role at NPAT involves overseeing all aspects of land protection efforts in the region. This includes evaluating, prioritizing, and facilitating real estate transactions aligned with NPAT’s mission and North Texas Prairie Initiative. The conservation manager will also engage with landowners, monitor properties for compliance, develop and implement management plans, and communicate NPAT’s goals to various stakeholders through presentations and reports. Collaboration with NPAT staff, partners, and funding entities is essential, as is maintaining positive relationships with landowners and communities. The role requires frequent travel, strong communication skills, proficiency in GIS software, and a deep understanding of Texas flora and fauna.
