Job Summary: The Reproductive Health (RH) Nurse plays a crucial role in promoting and restoring patients’ health. They provide direct nursing care along with physical or psychological support to beneficiaries of the program, including displaced populations from Lebanon.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Record daily details of patient cases visiting the health center.
  2. Assist the medical staff and maintain patient records.
  3. Prepare patients, examination tools, and materials, ensuring everything is clean and ready.
  4. Follow the instructions of the IHAO Program Coordinator to support policies related to the reduction of violence against women and girls and maternal health.
  5. Attend training sessions aimed at improving staff awareness in health, nutrition, immunity, and prevention.
  6. Provide health counseling to beneficiaries.
  7. Follow up with patients as per the instructions of the Project Manager in the governorate.
  8. Educate patients on self-management of acute and chronic illnesses, adjusting instructions according to their condition.
  9. Work under the supervision of a specialist doctor to ensure health services are provided appropriately.
  10. Act professionally and personally in a manner that enhances IHAO’s credibility and does not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
  11. Perform other related duties as required.

 

Supervisory Structure:

  • Reports directly to: Reproductive Health Doctor.
  • Works directly with: Health Center Staff.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
  • At least three (3) years of work experience as an RH Nurse or in a similar role is required.
  • Previous experience working with an NGO is preferred.

The Iraq Health Access Organization (IHAO).  is currently seeking a qualified Nurse to join our team in Najaf. This position is open to both internal and external applicants; however, priority will be given to qualified internal candidates.
