POSITION SUMMARY:
Position will be responsible for determining the overall mission, strategy and managing resources for FCN programs in accordance with priorities Florida Statutes. This position will participate in the recruitment process, trains, and evaluates a professional training staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with the FCN Executive Director and others to plan, develop and implement a broad program of training and/or consultation for an internal or external workforce groups across Florida. Assess, propose and drive programs to support workforce development, engagement and leadership development, including reviewing of current programs and impact and develop short-term and long-term strategies. Ability to diagnose, plan and manage available resources required for program success.
Conduct organization needs assessments to identify opportunities and make recommendations that support efficiency, business agility and growth to support the FCN’s required statutes. Lead planning and coordination of monthly, quarterly, etc,. learning and development events or other organizational learning events to ensure new programs meet the changing needs of the nursing and ultimately healthcare community and works with partners to ensure training initiatives meet healthcare needs.
Coordinate and direct training programs, including assist in scheduling, curriculum development and implementation, staffing, and instruction. Partners with and assist with integration of patient care simulation into the curriculum; oversees staff in the development, implementation, and evaluations of patient care simulation activities.
Executes the programmatic educational plan, ensuring smooth operations of logistics for educational activities. This role will liaise with the Program Manager and FCN leaders to design, develop and deploy strategies, services and actions to address critical needs for FCN. Effectively communicates with diverse students from varied backgrounds.
The position hires, trains, and evaluates a professional training staff. Lead team to design and deliver innovative tools, engaging learning, change and leadership development experiences from core curriculum to function-specific programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least five years of experience in a professional training position. A Master’s degree in Communication, Education, Adult Education, or a field directly related to subject matter may substitute for two years of the required experience. Significant related experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on a case by case basis.
Required to maintain an unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Florida and must be in place by the hire date.
PREFERRED:
Doctorate (DNP or PhD), Florida or compact RN license, Experience in clinical education, academia, nursing curriculum development and both on-line and in person teaching of nursing content.
