The Role
We are looking for a kind, empathetic and caring individual. As our OT, you’ll be working with a variety of customers with various levels of physical needs. You will develop thorough, clinically justified, and well articulated assessments and recommendations for NDIS, HCP and CHSP funded customers, as well as those who wish to access our OT services directly.
What you’ll do:
- Undertake in-home functional and environmental assessments;
- Undertake Functional Capacity Assessments and other documentation for NDIS participants;
- Establish goals and intervention in collaboration with the participant and carers;
- Develop appropriate reports identifying participant’s needs, assistive technology needs (including complex AT) and home modification requirements;
- Educate participants and families on intervention implementation;
- Evaluate services according to goal achievement and outcome;
- Work closely with other Business Units to effectively deliver customer needs;
- In collaboration with the Manager, Therapy and Consultancy Services contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and policies within the Therapy Services Team.
Must-Haves:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy;
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Current Working with Childrens Check (WA);
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain;
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence;
- Exceptional report writing skills;
- Strong aptitude for time management and goal setting;
- A positive, solutions focused outlook;
- Ability to proactively engage with a multidisciplinary team;
- Highly motivated, and able to demonstrate initiative;
- Expert organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities and deliver to tight deadlines;
- Strong influencing skills, is a people – person and has the ability to achieve outcomes without direct reporting relationships;
